Whether you are interested in joining a committee to plan and execute an event, helping at one of the events, working behind the scenes, or volunteering during the school day, we can use your help! The HSA is entirely volunteer run--the more people willing to help, the more we can offer to the students!

Where can I find volunteer openings?

Do all Volunteer roles requires full clearances?

No! Volunteers who work with students during the school day (lunch and recess, library, field trips, etc) require full clearances, but we have many opportunities outside of school for volunteers to get involved! 

 

 

how do i obtain clearances?

 

Please review the process for obtaining and submitting clearances here. 

 

All volunteers are required to fill out two forms each school year: 

 

LGE and HSA Volunteer Expectations - Required for all LGE Parent Volunteers

WSD Volunteer Disclosure Form - Required for all WSD Volunteers

 

How do i get reimbursed for purchases i made while volunteering?

You may fill out the electronic form for reimbursement. 

 

Please note, we will only reimburse purchases that have been pre-approved by the HSA board.

Current Volunteer Needs

 

lunch and recess

Here's a wonderful chance to interact with students during the school day. Recess volunteers can play games with the students and model good sportsmanship. They can push children on the swings. Or, they can just walk around and to to the students.

 

Lunch volunteers help with opening tricky food packaging, assisting with retrieving utensils & condiments for the students, and just being of assistance.
